Data as of 1-2 October 2026. Graded prices: 80 StockX sales of graded copies of 6 modern cards between 2 October 2025 and 1 October 2026. Raw prices: TCGplayer market price on 1-2 October 2026 from GradeWorthy's daily price feed.
The short answer
For the five cards in our data worth $100 or more raw, a graded copy sold on StockX for a median 1.3 to 2.2 times the card's current raw price. For a card worth $11 raw (Radiant Charizard, Crown Zenith), a graded copy sold for $130, about 12 times raw, because the slab and the grading fee set a floor under any graded card.
The catch is in the spread. StockX lists these as "PSA or BGS graded" and does not record the grade, so each card's sales mix 10s, 9s and lower. Charizard ex #199 is the clearest example: the middle half of its 27 graded sales ran from $406 to $1,096. That gap most likely reflects different grades, and it is why the grade you expect matters more than the average premium.

Graded vs raw, card by card
| Card | Set | Raw (TCGplayer market) | Graded median (StockX) | Middle half of graded sales | Graded sales | Graded ÷ raw |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Umbreon VMAX #215 | Evolving Skies | $2,284 | $3,840 | $2,250 to $4,282 | 10 | 1.7x |
| Umbreon ex #161 | Prismatic Evolutions | $1,351 | $3,000 | $1,800 to $3,540 | 7 | 2.2x |
| Mew ex #232 | Paldean Fates | $869 | $1,134 | $653 to $1,860 | 18 | 1.3x |
| Charizard ex #199 | 151 | $352 | $500 | $406 to $1,096 | 27 | 1.4x |
| Blastoise ex #200 | 151 | $129 | $214 | $120 to $479 | 10 | 1.7x |
| Radiant Charizard #020 | Crown Zenith | $11 | $130 | $36 to $236 | 8 | 11.8x |
What this means before you grade
The average premium is not your premium. Charizard ex #199's graded sales had a median of 1.4x raw, but the middle half ran from 1.2x to 3.1x. The top of that range is most likely the higher grades. At the bottom ($406), after a $59.99 PSA Standard fee, $5 of shipping and eBay's 13.25% + $0.40, you would net about $286, less than the $305 from selling the card raw. Grading pays when the chance of the top grade is high enough to cover the fee, shipping and selling costs; it loses money when it is not.
Fees decide the marginal cards. At $352 raw, the cheapest PSA tier (Standard, $59.99) costs about 17% of the card's value before shipping. We worked this card through every tier in Is Charizard ex 151 worth grading?, and did the same for Umbreon ex (Prismatic Evolutions).

FAQ
How much more is a graded Pokémon card worth than raw?
For five modern cards worth $100 or more raw, graded copies sold on StockX for a median 1.3 to 2.2 times the current raw TCGplayer price (October 2025 to October 2026). The premium depends heavily on the grade: a 10 sells for far more than a 9.
What does a graded Charizard ex 151 #199 sell for?
Graded copies sold on StockX for a median $500 over the 12 months to 1 October 2026 (27 sales, middle half $406 to $1,096; grade not recorded). The raw card's TCGplayer market price was $352 on 1 October 2026.
Is it worth grading a cheap Pokémon card?
Rarely, unless it is a likely 10 of a popular card. A graded Radiant Charizard sold for about $130 against an $11 raw price, but after a $20 to $60 grading fee, shipping and selling fees, the margin on most cards under $50 is thin or negative.

Method
Graded prices: every StockX sale of the listing "<card> (PSA or BGS Graded)" in the 12 months to 1 October 2026, collected by our sister data site SneakerPulse; StockX does not report the grade per sale, so medians mix grades. Cards included only with 7+ graded sales in the window; others (Rayquaza VMAX #218, Giratina VSTAR GG69, Obsidian Flames Charizard ex #223) had too few. Raw prices: TCGplayer market price (holofoil) on 1-2 October 2026, freshest of pokemontcg.io and PokéWallet. Raw is today's price while graded sales span 12 months, so a card whose raw price moved a lot during the year will show a distorted ratio. Past sales, not a forecast.
