Short answer

The calculator answers one question: will grading this card leave you with more money than selling it raw today, after every fee? The worked example inside uses Charizard ex #199 from 151 at its $368.78 raw price (TCGplayer, 13 September 2026) with illustrative graded comps: through CGC Economy the expected gain is +$51.06 (verdict GRADE, break-even chance of a 10 about 8%); through PSA Standard ($59.99) it is about +$10.85 (MARGINAL); through PSA Priority it is about −$8.27 (SELL RAW). Same card, three tiers, three different answers. Figures calculated from the v1.1 workbook (fee tables as of 1 October 2026).

Should you grade that card? Type in the raw price, the tier you would use, where you will sell, your odds of a 10 and a 9, and recent sold prices for the graded card. What makes it different

• Real 2026 fees, not guesses. 24 grading tiers across PSA, CGC, TAG and Beckett with fee, declared-value cap, minimum card count, turnaround and status. PSA's Value tiers are marked paused, because they are, and the sheet shows the cheapest active tier that fits your card.
• Selling fees included. eBay, TCGplayer, Whatnot, Mercari, Fanatics Collect and local sales. A 13.25% fee changes the answer more often than people expect.
• The cost of waiting. Cash tied up for 90 to 150 business days is not free. Set your own rate or turn it off.

Quick questions

Does it include PSA's $59.99 Standard tier?
Yes. Version 1.1 (1 October 2026) carries PSA's September 2026 lineup: Standard $59.99 (cap $1,000), Priority $79.99, Express $199 and Premier $599, with the paused Value tiers marked as paused. Buyers of any version get updates free.

Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. It is an Excel .xlsx file; in Google Drive use File → Import (or open it with Google Sheets). It also opens in LibreOffice. Yellow cells are inputs and every formula is protected, so you can't break it by accident.

Will it tell me what grade my card will get?
No, and nothing honest can from a listing. You enter your own odds of a 10 and a 9; the Gem Rate Guide tab shows how to turn a population report into a realistic estimate, and the calculator shows the break-even odds so you can see how much the answer depends on them.

What you get
